Animal Bites & Poisoning
Animal bites and poisoning can cause serious health effects and require prompt, appropriate medical assessment.
Emergency notice: Snakebite, suspected poisoning, severe animal bites, breathing difficulty, loss of consciousness or rapidly worsening symptoms require immediate hospital care. Do not delay emergency treatment.
Animal Bites
The effects depend on the animal, the wound and the health of the person bitten. Redness, warmth, swelling, increasing pain, pus, fever or red streaks may indicate infection.
Poisoning
Harmful substances may enter the body through swallowing, inhalation, injection or skin absorption. Sources may include excessive medicine doses, pesticides, carbon monoxide, toxic plants, metals and household products.
Ayurvedic Perspective
Ayurveda discusses toxins under Agada Tantra or Visha Chikitsa. Any supportive Ayurvedic care is selected only after consultation and should never replace urgent emergency management.
